Ingredients

  • 150 grams of rice
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 1 teaspoonful of vanilla
  • 400 grams of condensed milk
  • 1 piece of cinnamon slit
  • 500 milliliters of Water
  • to taste of Orange zest

    Preparation

    In a small saucepan, add the rice with water and wash it until the water comes out clear.
    Add 500 ml. of water and heat it 20 minutes approximately; just to soften the rice a little.
    In a medium saucepan add milk, vanilla, cinnamon, orange zest and heat over medium heat.
    When the rice and this medium soft, add it to the milk without water, cook and move with a spatula constantly to avoid sticking.
    When the bottom of the pan is seen, the liquid has been reduced a little and the rice is already soft, remove the cinnamon slit, at this point the condensed milk is added; it is integrated in an enveloping way with the help of a spatula, remove from heat and let cool in a container.

    PRESENTATION

    You can present it in glasses or glasses and sprinkle cinnamon tantita.

    TIPS

    You can substitute condensed milk for sugar. You can replace the orange zest with the lemon zest or add both. You can add other spices such as nutmeg or anise. If it is too thick you can add a little more milk, but the goal is to stay thick and smooth; not liquid.
