Corn Tamales with Cheese Cottage

This recipe for corn tamales will delight you with its creamy flavor. Our recipe is the easiest to make, plus we add our secret touch by adding a bit of cottage cheese, do you dare to make them?

Ingredients

16 servings
  • 5 cups of whole kernel corn natural (saves the leaves)
  • 1 Cup of cottage cheese LALA®
  • 1 1/2 cups of corn flours
  • 11/4 of Cup of Butter LALA®, melted
  • 1/2 Cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoonful of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoonful of Salt

    Preparation

    Add the corn kernels in the processor and grind lightly. Mix the ground corn with the flour and the cottage cheese perfectly.
    Beat the butter with the sugar until lightly sponge.
    Add the butter to the corn mixture and stir until integrated; add the baking powder and salt.
    Place on each corn leaf two or three tablespoons of the mixture and close. You can tie the corn with a strip of the leaf to prevent them from opening.
    Heat the water in the steamer, accommodate the tamales stopped one by one. Cover perfectly and cook for about 1 hour. Uncover the steamer past time and check if they are already cooked. The sheet should be removed by itself.

    PRESENTATION

    Serves platter to the center of the table fresh from the steamer.

    TIPS

    Do not mix the corn on the processor much.
