Simple and inexpensive recipe for macaroni bathed in a creamy tomato sauce and au gratin in the oven.

Ingredients

5 portions
  • 1 package elbow pasta
  • 1 package mashed tomatoes, boy
  • 250 milliliters whipping cream
  • 200 grams ham, in slices
  • 1 package american cheese, or sliced manchego
  • 1 can bell pepper, in strips
  • 1 pinch chicken consommé
  • 1 pinch black pepper

Preparation

Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package. Once cooked, drain and reserve.
Cut the ham and cheese into small squares.
Mix the cream with the puree, chicken consommé and pepper to taste.
Spread a little butter in a baking dish and place a layer of macaroni, then pieces of ham, cheese and bell pepper and a layer of cream sauce, repeat one more time.
Insert the oven previously preheated to 180 ° C and bake for approximately 10 minutes or until the sauce is seen to boil. Remove from the oven.

PRESENTATION

It can be served as an accompaniment to another meat dish or on its own.

TIPS

It can be made ahead of time and refrigerated, and baked before serving. You can substitute the sliced cheese for a grated cheese that gratin.
