Delicious pasta prepared with a touch of pesto, parmesan cheese, vegetables and tuna. Ideal for the Lenten season.

Ingredients

2 portions
  • 2 cups fusilli type pasta, (other types can be used)
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons pesto, (prepared or purchased)
  • 1 fist parmesan cheese
  • 2 cans canned tuna, (can be of those who bring vegetables included)
  • 1 cup vegetable, cooked (corn, carrots, green beans, etc.)

Preparation

It is put to heat water to high fire in a saucepan. When it is boiling, add the pasta, salt and olive oil. Stir continuously to avoid sticking to the bottom of the pan.
When the pasta is cooked (it is soft, it has absorbed water and the level of it has been lowered in the pan) the water is poured with the help of a sieve and the pasta is returned to the pan.
Add pesto, Parmesan cheese, tuna and vegetables. Everything is mixed. It is then served hot or cold.

PRESENTATION

You can put a few leaves of fresh basil on the side of the plate.

TIPS

The pasta will cool quickly so it is recommended to reheat it a little in the microwave or in the same saucepan if it is not served at the moment.
