Spaghetti with Meatballs

Prepare this classic spaghetti with meatballs in a delicious and homemade tomato sauce. It's and ideal course for mealtime because it is rich in carbohydrates that provide energy, protein and vegetables.

Ingredients

4 servings
  • 250 grams of ground beef beef
  • 250 grams of ground pork
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup of ground bread
  • 1 tablespoon of mustard
  • 1/4 of cup of parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tablespoon of oregano
  • to taste of salt
  • to taste of black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/4 of cup of onion
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic
  • 2 cups of tomtato poached and chopped or canned, for sauce
  • 3/4 of cup of mashed tomatoes for the sauce
  • 1/2 cup of Red wine for the sauce
  • 1/2 cup of beef broth for the sauce
  • 2 twigs of basil fresh for sauce
  • 1 twig of oregano fresh, for the sauce
  • enough of salt
  • enough of black pepper
  • enough of Water
  • 1 package of Spaghetti 500 g
  • to taste of parmesan cheese grated to serve
  • to taste of basil fresh and chopped, to decorate

Preparation

For the meatballs, in a bowl mix the ground beef with the pork, the eggs, bread crumbs, mustard, Parmesan cheese, oregano, salt and pepper. Form meatballs with your hands and set aside.
Heat a deep skillet over medium heat with olive oil and seal the meatballs until golden brown. Remove from heat.
In the same pan, cook the onion and garlic with the remaining fat until they are transparent. Add the poached tomato and tomato puree, cook 5 minutes or until the tomato almost completely melts.
Add the wine at once, the beef stock, the basil, the oregano and cook for 5 minutes. Add the meatballs and cook covered for 15 minutes or until cooked. Season with salt and pepper, and set aside.
Cook the pasta in a pot with boiling water and a little salt, according to the package instructions. Drain
Serve each dish a little pasta, add the meatballs with the sauce and serve with Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh basil.

PRESENTATION

Serve the spaghetti with the meatballs and the sauce. Accompany with Parmesan cheese.

TIPS

Seal the meatballs first to avoid falling apart, then finish the cooking in the sauce.
