Spaghetti with Meatballs

Prepare this classic spaghetti with meatballs in a delicious and homemade tomato sauce. It's and ideal course for mealtime because it is rich in carbohydrates that provide energy, protein and vegetables.

  • 250 grams ground beef, beef
  • 250 grams ground pork
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cups ground bread
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1/4 cups parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cups onion
  • 1 tablespoon garlic
  • 2 cups tomtato, poached and chopped or canned, for sauce
  • 3/4 cups mashed tomatoes, for the sauce
  • 1/2 cups Red wine, for the sauce
  • 1/2 cups beef broth, for the sauce
  • 2 twigs basil, fresh for sauce
  • 1 twig oregano, fresh, for the sauce
  • enough salt
  • enough black pepper
  • enough Water
  • 1 package Spaghetti, 500 g
  • to taste parmesan cheese, grated to serve
  • to taste basil, fresh and chopped, to decorate


For the meatballs, in a bowl mix the ground beef with the pork, the eggs, bread crumbs, mustard, Parmesan cheese, oregano, salt and pepper. Form meatballs with your hands and set aside.
Heat a deep skillet over medium heat with olive oil and seal the meatballs until golden brown. Remove from heat.
In the same pan, cook the onion and garlic with the remaining fat until they are transparent. Add the poached tomato and tomato puree, cook 5 minutes or until the tomato almost completely melts.
Add the wine at once, the beef stock, the basil, the oregano and cook for 5 minutes. Add the meatballs and cook covered for 15 minutes or until cooked. Season with salt and pepper, and set aside.
Cook the pasta in a pot with boiling water and a little salt, according to the package instructions. Drain
Serve each dish a little pasta, add the meatballs with the sauce and serve with Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh basil.


Serve the spaghetti with the meatballs and the sauce. Accompany with Parmesan cheese.


Seal the meatballs first to avoid falling apart, then finish the cooking in the sauce.

La he echo y apesar de no contar con el vino quedo muy bien, le agregué queso mozzarella al final y le dio un buen sabor, Muy buena 👌
