It is a very simple recipe, easy to prepare and delicious to accompany on the Christmas plate, accompanied by a good portion of turkey. Do it, you will fascinate them!

Ingredients

12 portions
  • 1 purple cabbage, whole
  • 500 grams bacon
  • 1/2 cups honey, or 4 tablespoons ground brown sugar

Preparation

Defoliate the cabbage, wash the leaves and then cut it into thin strips. The bacon must be cut into small rectangles (make short pieces)
We fry the bacon, without oil, only in the hot pan, since the bacon releases the fat, all this we prepare is low flame.
When I'm salting the bacon fat, add the cabbage and start mixing.
When the bacon and cabbage are mixed, add the honey or the 4 tablespoons of ground panela (whichever you prefer). We start mixing, when the cabbage is already soft (cooked) it means that it is ready!
We serve, because it is preferable to eat it hot.

TIPS

If you like the salad more sweet, you can add small raisins in the preparation.
