Orange marmalade with Chipotle

Prepare this delicious and spicy orange marmalade made at home with a touch of chipotle pepper that makes you turn around the traditional recipe. It is ideal to give in a bottle or to accompany any snack. Delicious!

Ingredients

8 servings
  • 3 pieces of orange cut into segments
  • 1 piece of cinnamon stick slices
  • 1 Cup of refined sugar
  • 1/4 of Cup of orange juice
  • 1/4 of Cup of Orange peel cut into strips
  • 1 teaspoonful of cardamom
  • 1/8 of Cup of chilaca chili pepper dry, clean and finely chopped

    Preparation

    Heat a pot over medium heat and add the orange, cinnamon, sugar and orange juice, cook until the liquid is reduced. Add the orange peel, cardamom and chipotle chili, cook 3 more minutes. Remove from heat and cool.
    Place in a glass container with a lid to give as a present.

    PRESENTATION

    Serve the jam in an airtight glass jar to give as a gift.

    TIPS

    When the jam gets cold it will thicken, so do not worry if it becomes slightly liquid.
