Ingredients

  • 2 cubes Knorr® Chicken Broth
  • 500 grams black bean, clean and washed
  • 2 tablespoons vegetal oil
  • 1/4 white onions
  • 1 clove garlic, cleansed
  • 2 branches epazote, washed
  • 6 cups Water

Preparation

Soak the beans in 1 liter of warm water from a day before, this will help to make cooking faster. In case they do not soak, they will take a little longer during cooking.
To cook them in an express pot or in a clay pot, place the oil and heat slightly to fry the onion with the garlic to take a light golden color.
Remove the soaking water from the beans, add them to the pot together with 6 cups of water and the Knorr® Swiss Chicken Broth, cover.
When the pressure starts to come out, reduce the fire and place the valve. In a traditional pot cover and move sporadically, if you need water add warm or hot (2 cups).
Cook for 50 minutes in an express pot or approximately 1:50 in a traditional pot.
Add the epazote branches and cook for 10 more minutes over low heat, uncovered.
