Ingredients

12 portions
  • 2 cubes Knorr® chicken bouillon
  • 500 grams black beans, clean and washed
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 white onions
  • 1 clove garlic, cleansed
  • 2 branches epazote, washed
  • 6 cups water

Preparation

Soak the beans in 1 liter of warm water from a day before, this will help to cook faster. If they don't soak, they will take a little longer to cook.
To cook them in a pressure cooker or clay pot, add the oil and heat slightly to fry the onion with the garlic until they turn a light golden color.
Remove the soaking water from the beans, add them to the pot along with 6 cups of water and the Knorr® Switzerland Chicken Broth, cover.
When the pressure starts to come out, reduce the heat and replace the valve. In a traditional pot, cover and stir sporadically, if you need water, add it warm or hot (2 cups).
Cook for 50 minutes in a pressure cooker or approximately 1:50 hours in a traditional pot.
Add the epazote branches and cook for 10 more minutes over low heat and uncovered.
You can use the delicious Knorr® beans in your favorite recipes.
