Charro beans is a dish that can be a perfect accompaniment (roast meat or fish) or the ideal main course (rich tacos of beans). This recipe is very simple to make just cut the ingredients, add them to a pot and add the secret ingredient McCormick® Chicken Broth. You will see how your family will love it, since this preparation has a very special flavor.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 2 tablespoons McCormick® Granulated Chicken Broth
  • 500 grams pinto beans, cooked
  • 20 grams garlic
  • 200 grams bacon, chopped into small squares
  • 100 grams sausage, chopped
  • 200 grams onion, finely chopped
  • 80 grams pickled jalapeño pepper, without seeds and finely chopped
  • 200 grams sausage, cut into slices
  • 100 grams pork rind, chopped
  • 60 grams fresh coriander, chopped

Preparation

Sprinkle McCormick® Chicken Broth over previously cooked beans. Heat the preparation in a pot and add the garlic.
In a pan fry the bacon and sausage, remove from heat and reserve.
Add onion, chilies and cook for 5 minutes.
Once this all fried add to the beans.
Add the sausages, the pork rind and the cilantro mix until integrating. Rectify the seasoning.

PRESENTATION

Serve in a clay pot, accompany it with chopped onion, cilantro and chile serrano cut into slices.

TIPS

Accompany it with freshly made corn tortillas. You can add Serrano ham to the recipe to give a different flavor to the preparation.
