Chickpeas with Tomato

With this recipe you will prepare some delicious chickpeas with tomato, the tomato sauce gives a very special flavor to the dish and is combined with a little chorizo.

  • 250 grams chickpeas legumes La Asturiana®
  • 1 carrot
  • 80 spanish chorizo
  • 2 leeks
  • 100 grams ham, cured
  • salt

  • 1 onion, for the sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, for the sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sugar, for the sauce

We put the chickpeas to soak the day before in warm water with salt. The next day we wash the chickpeas under the cold water jet.
Cook the chickpeas in a pressure cooker with boiling water, salt, two leeks and a carrot. All the vegetables should be peeled and cut into pieces.
In a saucepan, sauté the onion and garlic in oil and add the chopped tomato, a pinch of sugar and salt and let cook for 20 minutes.
We crush and pass through a sieve tomato sauce and reserve. Sauté the chorizo ​​and ham cut into thin slices.
Add the chickpeas to this sauce, sauté and add the tomato sauce.
We let it rest so that the flavors mix and we serve.
