Preparation
Mix the salt, flour and baking powder in a bowl. Add the butter until the mixture forms a kind of crumbs.
Add the water and mix until the dough begins to form.
If necessary, add more water (1 teaspoon at a time) until the dough forms.
Cover with a clean damp cloth and let it sit for 15 minutes.
Divide the dough into 12 balls. Spread the balls with a rolling pin on a lightly floured surface.
Form tortillas approximately 18 cm in diameter.
Cook on an unaltered comal over high heat until some brown spots appear.
Keep the tortillas covered and hot with a clean towel until serving.
