Ingredients

1 portion
  • 2 onions
  • 200 grams flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pinch Chili pepper
  • 140 cubic centimeters light beer
  • 1 liter vegetal oil
  • 2 teaspoons Provencal
  • to taste black pepper, to taste

Preparation

Cut the onion into slices of 1.5 cm (with skin included, because after the wheels are broken, if one breaks, it does not matter). Separate them
Make a smooth paste (like a thick pancake paste), mixing in a bowl the flour, eggs, beer, salt, pepper, hot pepper and Provençal
Go submerging the onion wheels of batches in the dough
Heat the oil in a saucepan (the temperature should be about 180 °). In the family kitchen this temperature is achieved and maintained with at least 1/2 liter of oil. Do not use less because the oil would heat up a lot and burn quickly. The ideal is to use a fryer
Go tossing the onion wheels in the oil. After 3 minutes (when they are golden brown) drain and serve.
