Potato Casserole with Bacon

Ingredients

8 servings
  • 3 spoonfuls of Butter
  • 3 spoonfuls of olive oil
  • 6 pieces of potato big
  • 1/2 piece of onion
  • 1 pinch of Salt
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 250 grams of bacon
  • 1 bunch of fresh thyme

    Preparation

    Preheated oven at 180 ° C
    Melt the butter in the microwave, pour the olive oil and mix.
    Varnish the base and walls of an oven refractory with a little of the previous mixture.
    Peel potatoes and cut slices as thin as possible, do the same with onions.
    Arrange the potatoes and onions inside the refractory vertically forming a circle and inside that other smaller circle and so on until filling. Varnish with the mixture of oil and butter and season to taste.
    Bake for 1 hour 25 minutes uncovered. If you feel that it dries you can add a little more butter.
    Cut the bacon into small squares and place it in a pan until it is a little cold. Place it on an extended dish with absorbent paper.
    Remove the potatoes from the oven and distribute the bacon and fresh thyme on them.
    Bake again for about 30 minutes. Salpimentate again and serve.

    PRESENTATION

    Serve with a little bit of sour cream and chopped chives.

    TIPS

    If you start to stick the slices of potatoes separate them with a knife for butter.

    Hoy la prepare, con menos tiempo porque no le hallaba el modo al horno fue la prinera vez q usé uno. Y las papas quedaron crujientes de arriba y lo del centro y abajo quedo semi cosido pero quedo bueno. Le agregue queso rayado monterrey cuando lr puse el tocino y despues... nos encanto a mi esposo y a mi, pero sentimos q hacia falta algo y el le agrego mostaza y yo catsup... la siguente le are una salsa de cilantro haber como queda... 💚
