Rice with Milk of the Grandmother

In Mexico there are different versions to prepare rice with milk, some broths and others very creamy. It is almost always considered as a dessert.

Ingredients

  • 220 grams of Sweet rice
  • 1/2 liter of Water
  • 1/8 of teaspoonful of delayed milk
  • 750 milliliters of whole milk
  • 1 cinnamon slit of 5 cm
  • 2 strips of Orange peel of 5 cm
  • 1 can of condensed milk of 397 gr
  • 1/4 of Cup of sugar
  • 1 bar of Butter of 90 gr
  • 1/2 Cup of cream to beat
  • ground cinnamon optional

    Preparation

    Place the rice with 2 cups of water and sugar in the Express® Pressure Cooker over high heat.
    Close the Express® Pressure Cooker and add the pressure regulator, place it in the stove with a high flame for about 25 minutes or until constant steam comes out, lower the flame to medium and cook for 10 minutes.
    Remove the Express® Pressure Cooker from the heat, let cool, remove the pressure regulator, open the Express® Pressure Cooker, and that's it! Drain and reserve.
    Meanwhile, in another saucepan over medium heat place the milk with the cinnamon slit and the orange strips. Boil slightly for 5 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, remove and discard cinnamon and orange strips.
    Integrate condensed milk, sugar, butter and cream to beat and mix constantly with a wooden spoon to avoid sticking to the base of the pot.
    Boil a few minutes and remove from heat. Add the cooked rice and mix until completely integrated. Pass the rice to a refractory bowl and let cool.
    Serve in small glasses decorating with cinnamon to taste.

    TIPS

    If you want to change the flavor of your rice add 10 g of chai tea of ​​the flavor of your preference to the milk at the time of flavoring, strain and continue with the same procedure.

    me gusta solo que tiene un error la receta pusieron sal en vez de azúcar en el punto 1 de la preparación. :)
