Knowing how to make red rice is almost a basic survival, so if you still don't know how to prepare it, it's time for you to learn. With this recipe of red rice with vegetables, you can prepare this classic dish of Mexican cuisine, with its delicious flavor of tomato with carrot, peas and potatoes, which create an ideal combination to complement any meal. To make the grain spongy in cooking, spread it and dry it completely after soaking.

Ingredients

6 servings
  • 4 tomatoes mature
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1/4 of onion cut into pieces
  • 2 cups of broth chicken or vegetables
  • 1 1/2 cups of rice soaked in hot water
  • enough of vegetable oil
  • 1/2 Cup of carrot cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 Cup of potato cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 Cup of pea
  • 2 Serrano cpeppers whole
  • to taste of Salt
  • enough of coriander to decorate

    Preparation

    Blend the tomato with garlic, onion and a little broth, reserve.
    Heat a pot over medium heat with the oil, fry the rice until golden brown, for about 5 minutes. Add the blender preparation and cook a few minutes until the rice absorbs the collection.
    Add the rest of the broth, carrots, potatoes, peas, peppers and salt. Cover the pot and cook until it starts to boil, reduce the heat to medium heat and cook for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Turn off the heat and rest for 10 minutes to finish cooking with your own heat, move before serving to sponge, serve and enjoy.

    PRESENTATION

    Decorate with cilantro and accompany with your favorite dish.

    TIPS

    It is very important that after soaking the rice, you spread it and dry it completely again so that the grain is spongy in cooking.
