Ingredients

8 servings
  • 6 cups of White bread in thick cubes
  • 3 pieces of leek cut into cubes
  • 1 stick of unsalted butter
  • 2 branches of celery chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of thyme
  • 3 pieces of green apple cut into cubes
  • 1 Cup of cream
  • 1/2 Cup of celery
  • 2 cups of chestnut or walnut, chopped

    Preparation

    Preheat the oven to 180 degrees centigrade.
    Bake bread on baking sheets for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven.
    Increase the oven temperature to 220 degrees Celsius.
    Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the pore and celery in it for 10 minutes.
    Add the thyme and apples to the pan and season with salt and pepper. Cover the pan and cook for 5 minutes or until the apples are tender.
    Transfer the mixture to a large bowl and mix with the bread, chestnut / nut, cream and parsley. Pour over a baking refractory of sufficient size.
    Bake the filling for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

    PRESENTATION

    Garnish the filling with apple slices and chestnuts.

    TIPS

    You can also add raisins or blueberries to this filling.
