Prepare this delicious recipe of ham stuffed chayotes with a creamy and delicious touch. Besides being easy to prepare, you will only need 8 ingredients to have a rich side dish for the daily meal.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 chayote squash , without peel and halved
  • 1 cup Ham, diced
  • 1 cup light cream, reduced in fat
  • 1 cup manchego cheese, grated, divided
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 4 teaspoons butter

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
Heat a pot with water and salt over medium heat, cook the chayotes for 15 minutes, when they are soft remove the cooking, cool and reserve.
Place the chayotes on a board and with the help of a spoon, cup the center of the chayote and reserve the pulp.
In a bowl, mix the ham with the chayote pulp, the cream, half the cheese and season with salt and pepper. Fill the chayotes with this mixture.
Place them in a refractory oven, add the rest of the grated cheese and place a cube of butter to each chayote. Bake for 10 minutes or until the cheese gratins and the butter melts.
Serves hot

PRESENTATION

On an extended plate accompanied with rice.
