Mexican Shrimp Soup

The shrimp soup is a delicious preparation, in our country it´s very popular. It works as a main course or as an entrance for a delicious meal. It´s spicy and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams of Dry shrimp
  • 2 pieces of White potato cut into small cubes
  • 2 pieces of carrot
  • 4 pieces of tomato
  • 5 pieces of guajillo chile
  • 1/4 of piece of onion
  • 1 1/2 liters of Water
  • 4 branches of parsley
  • 3 branches of epazote
  • 1 tooth of Garlic
  • 15 grams of Salt
  • 5 grams of ground pepper

    Preparation

    Fill a pot with water and let it boil. Clean the guajillo peppers and soak in them in hot water for 10 minutes.
    Blend the guajillos with the tomato, garlic and onion. Add some water if necessary.
    Sift the previous mix and pour it into the pot with water. Cook for 10 minutes.
    Add the dried shrimps and cook for 20 minutes.
    Peel the potatoes. Cut them into cubes.
    Peel the carrots and cut them into small cubes.
    Add the potato and the carrots.
    Season with parsley, epazote, salt and pepper.
    Cook for 10 more minutes. Serve warm and enjoy.

    PRESENTATION

    Serve in a deep dish with bread.

    Para la resaca despues de una fiesta muy larga esta buenisimo y mas si le agregamos unos 5 a 10 chiles de arbol para que salga un poco mas picosito o al gusto, pero en si esta buenisimo, gracias por compartirnos esta deliciosa receta.
