This dish is an emblematic preparation of Brazil, its main ingredients are black beans and a variety of meats, but these and their preparation vary in each region, since it is adapted to different homes and availability of ingredients in each locality, you could make a analogy to the pozole in Mexico, which is as variable as the diversity of regions where it is prepared.

Ingredients

10 portions
  • enough Water
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 onions, big
  • 1/4 kilos pork rib
  • 1/4 kilos pork meat
  • 1/4 kilos beef
  • 1 kilo foot, pork
  • 1/2 kilos black bean, previously cooked with everything and broth.
  • 1 leave bay (laurel)
  • enough white rice
  • enough tomtato, chopped, seedless
  • enough chives, tail, chopped
  • enough white onion, finely chopped

Preparation

Cook the beans in a pressure cooker for 45 minutes and reserve.
Cook the meats in a pot with boiling water, garlic and onion for about 1.5 hours
Heat a pot to medium heat, add the butter and add the meat, the rib, the pork, the beef, the pork leg and fry for 5 minutes.
Add the beans with broth and bay leaves, cook for 20 minutes at medium / low temperature.
Serve the feijoada with rice, chopped tomato, chives and white onion.

TIPS

You can vary the meats, add chorizo, chunk bacon, tongue, dried meat etc; everything adds flavor to the preparation.
