Nopales soup with Chile Guajillo

  • 4 cups nopal
  • enough Water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1/4 onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 4 guajillo chilies, hydrous
  • 5 cups chicken soup
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 cups mushroom, filleted
  • 1/3 cups mashed tomatoes
  • 2 leaves epazote


In a table and with the help of a knife, cut the nopales into strips.
In a pot of boiling water, cook the nopales with salt and a little baking soda.
In a comal roast the tomatoes, the onion, and the garlic. Blend together with the previously hydrated guajillo, the chicken broth, salt and pepper.
In a pot over medium heat heat the oil, add the mushrooms, nopales, salt and pepper. Add the tomato puree and the liquefied broth, let boil and add the epazote, cook for 20 minutes.
Serve and serve with lemon drops


Serve in a dish and serve with lemon.


You can use the chiles that you like the most, like ancho chile or chile de árbol, it will be spectacular.
