Es tradicional utilizar tamales como los vemos. En casa preparamos un refractario cubierto con mantequilla y desmoronamos los tamales, agregamos un poco de queso y crema, terminamos con los tamales sobrantes y al horno. Mientras hacemos una salsa roja o verde y cuando sale el pastel de tamal se corta en cuadros, agregamos la salsa y concluimos con frijoles recién hechos, riquísimo.
