Step by Step of: How to make baked potatoes with bacon
For this recipe you will need the following ingredients: • 4 medium potatoes • ¼ chopped bacon • ¼ of manchego cheese in pieces • 1 cup of milk • 100 g of butter • ¼ cream • Salt and pepper to taste
Chop the potatoes with a toothpick or a knife, to penetrate the flavors.
Put them to cook in a pot with a little salt and two tablespoons of butter, until they are soft.
Take out and make a cross cut on each potato.
Press under the potato, on the side opposite to where you made the cuts, to make the potato open. It is important that the potatoes remain hot in these steps. Add a little butter to each potato, salt and pepper to taste.
Place a piece of aluminum foil on each potato, covering half of it and arrange them on a baking sheet.
Add the pieces of bacon to each potato.
Bake for 10 minutes at 180º.
While preparing the cheese sauce: Heat the milk. Add the remaining butter, salt, cream and Manchego cheese to the hot milk. Stir until you create a homogeneous mixture, if the milk cools, heat a little again.
Remove the potatoes from the oven and bathe with the cheese sauce.
