4 ways to prepare a martini

The city of Martinez, in California, San Francisco, and even New York are competing for the origin of the martini, a cocktail traditionally made with gin and dry vermouth, typically served with a green olive. Over time, the ingredients for its preparation have been modified and adapted to different tastes; there are even variations accepted by mixologists, such as the dirty which includes olive brine or the Gibson which has a small onion.
