Don’t let your budget be an excuse to stay at home. Grab your backpack and get ready to enjoy a delicious vacation at these spectacular Mexican beaches.
Cuyutlán, Colima
Near Manzanillo, you can find a much quieter and lesser-known option: Cuyutlán. In the village, you can find several very affordable accommodation options, as well as excellent restaurants at a very good price. If you are a fan of surfing, you cannot miss the waves of Cuyutlán.

San Pancho, Nayarit
San Francisco beach, commonly known as San Pancho, is about 45 minutes from Puerto Vallarta. The village still retains that relaxed and peaceful air of a fishing village. At certain times of the year, the waves grow so much that it is possible to practice surfing and windsurfing.

Carrizalillo, Oaxaca
Although it is very close to Puerto Escondido, Carrizalillo has managed to remain a bit more distanced from tourism, making it a more economical and tranquil option. Since there is no access for cars or ATVs, you must climb a very steep slope to reach the beach. So prepare to get some exercise.

Playa Michigan, Guerrero
Enjoy a relaxed walk between the lagoon and the Pacific Ocean so you can admire the diversity of species in the area. One of the great attractions of Michigan is that many of its areas remain untouched, so the locals have sought to preserve the environment through ecotourism.

El Tambor, Sinaloa
Very close to Culiacán, you will find this beautiful beach. Its fine sand and warm waters make this place ideal for resting and enjoying a relaxed weekend. You can bring your own food for a picnic or, if you prefer, you can buy some typical delights from the stalls near the beach.

Sisal, Yucatán
If in addition to enjoying the sea you feel like taking historical tours, the Yucatán Peninsula is your best option. Sisal, in particular, combines the beauty of pre-Hispanic building remnants with the extravagance of the green-blue sea and white sand. Don’t forget to visit its viewpoints; the views are incredible!

Puerto Peñasco, Sonora
Although Puerto Peñasco houses some of the most luxurious resorts in the north of the country, it is also possible to find more affordable accommodation options. The contrast of the desert landscape with the intense blue of the Sea of Cortez makes this beach a true wonder. If you visit Puerto Peñasco, don’t forget to go to the Gran Desierto del Altar.
