Classic Mojito Recipe

The classic mojito is a refreshing cocktail originating from Cuba, made with white rum, lemon, mint, and sparkling water. Transport yourself to Havana with this delicious classic mojito recipe.

  • 8 leaves spearmint, for the maceration
  • 1 ounce lime juice, seedless
  • 2 teaspoons raw sugar, for the maceration
  • ice cubes, in cubes
  • 2 ounces white rum, in a bottle with a nipple
  • 1/2 ounces simple syrup, in a bowl
  • sparkling water, for a 12oz high glass
  • 1 sprig spearmint, for decoration
  • 1 slice lime, for decoration

  • Place 8 mint leaves in a highball glass, then pour the lemon juice and add the muscovado sugar. Press the mixture with a pestle until crushed and let it rest for 2 minutes.
  • After the resting time, add ice to taste, the 2 oz of white rum, and the natural syrup.
  • Add sparkling water to fill the glass and mix.
  • To decorate your mojito: slap a sprig of mint and integrate it along with a slice of lemon.
