You may have tried many flavors of atole, but this recipe has a very original taste; it is a delicious fig atole that will leave everyone amazed.

1 can evaporated milk
4 cups water
1 stick cinnamon
1/4 kilos fig, ripe
1/4 cups sugar
300 grams masa dough
1 1/2 cups water

Boil the evaporated milk with the water and cinnamon.
Blend the figs with a little water and 3 tablespoons of sugar.
While dissolving the masa in 1 1/2 cups of water, making sure there are no lumps.
When the water boils, add the previously strained masa.
Stir constantly with a wooden spatula to prevent sticking.
Incorporate the blended figs and the remaining sugar.
Move until it reaches a boil and maintain at a simmer.
Leave it on the heat for another 10 minutes. Adjust the flavor.
