Prepare a champurrado atole with traditional masa and treat your family to this delicious drink that is also very easy to make. Don’t think twice and get to work!
Heat the water with the piloncillo, chocolate, and cinnamon stick in a pot over low heat for 10 minutes, until the piloncillo and chocolate are completely dissolved.
Place the masa and water in a blender and blend for 5 minutes or until completely dissolved. Set aside.
Add the masa mixture to the pot with water, piloncillo, cinnamon, and chocolate and mix using a spatula. Stir continuously to avoid lumps, cook for 10 minutes, or until it has a slightly thick consistency. Remove the champurrado atole from the heat and set aside.
Serve the champurrado atole with masa and decorate with a cinnamon stick.
