A few months ago I found this recipe and thought it was interesting, I decided to try it and the result is wonderful: an exquisite liqueur, softly perfumed, very pleasant to the palate and perfect for this cold weather.
100 grams rose petals, the roses should be at their best moment
1 liter rum, or aguardiente
300 grams sugar, of cane or 500 grams if you want it sweeter
1/2 liters water
50 drops orange blossom water
Preparation

Low
We start by placing the previously washed rose petals in a saucepan with 1/2 liter of water and sugar over moderate heat, and once it reaches a boil, we count 18 minutes, the saucepan should remain covered.
Once the time has passed, remove from heat and add the drops of orange blossom water, stir a little, and let it rest until the next day.
The next day, add the rum or aguardiente, mix well, and let it rest for two more days.
After two days, strain the preparation through a cloth filter, bottle it, and let it macerate for a month. Be sure to seal the bottle very well and protect it from the sun and heat.
After a month, it is ready to drink.
