Chai latte recipe

  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon, chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoons ginger, ground
  • 1/2 tablespoons cardamom
  • 1/2 tablespoons ground cloves
  • 2 cups Santa Clara® Lactose-Free Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1 tablespoon black tea
  • 1/2 cups Santa Clara® Lactose-Free Milk, warm
  • ice cubes
  • cinnamon powder, for decoration

  • Use a molcajete to grind the cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and clove until you have a fine powder. Set aside.
  • Pour the Lactose-Free Milk Santa Clara® into a pot, add 2 tablespoons of the spice mix, vanilla, and black tea. Let the chai tea boil for 5 minutes, strain, and set aside.
  • Place the warm Lactose-Free Milk Santa Clara® in a bowl and use a frother to create foam. Set aside.
  • Add ice to a cappuccino cup, pour the chai latte, and top with a bit of foam and ground cinnamon.
