Rice Chicha

Prepare one of the most typical drinks of Venezuela, it doesn't matter if you are a child or an adult, you will love it. It is a drink made from milk and rice, a bit thick and sweet that turns out to be delicious and perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 cup rice
  • 9 cups water
  • 1 cup cow's milk
  • 1 cup condensed milk
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 teaspoons almond essence
  • 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 5 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • cinnamon powder
  • 1 sprig cinnamon

  • Wash the rice and soak it overnight in 2 cups of water.
  • The next day, drain and cook it with the cinnamon stick in 7 cups of water for about 35 minutes.
  • Then, lower the heat and let it rest.
  • Blend with the sugar, the three milks, salt, and essences. Let it cool well. Serve with crushed ice.
