Wash and drain the oats. Place them in a container and cover with clean water. Let them soak overnight. Drain the water the next day, wash, and drain very well.
Pour the oats into a blender with 3 cups of water. If you want, you can add a little more water but the milk will be less thick.
Blend on low speed and gradually increase. Once you reach maximum speed, blend for 10 seconds and stop.
Place a fine strainer or a cloth strainer over a bowl and pour in what you blended. Slowly. When you have all the pulp in the strainer, press with a spoon to extract all the milk.
You can blend the milk again if you want and you can strain it two or three more times. It depends on how thick you want the milk.
Once you have the milk ready, add all the other ingredients and stir well until everything is combined.
Store in an airtight glass container. Place in the refrigerator. It will last 4 to 5 days. Be sure to shake before serving as solids may settle.
