Serrano Gin

If you love gin cocktails, you have to try this spiced cocktail. This serrano gin is a preparation with serrano chili syrup and Domino® Mascabado Sugar, which will be a great way to add a spicy touch to drinks during patriotic celebrations. Moreover, it is perfect for stimulating the appetite.

  • 1/2 cups Domino® raw sugar, for the syrup
  • 1/2 cups water, for the syrup
  • 1 serrano chile, for the syrup, halved
  • 1/3 cups orange peels, for the syrup, without the white part
  • 1/3 cups lime peels, for the syrup, without the white part
  • ice cubes
  • 2 ounces gin
  • 1/3 cups orange peels, without the white part
  • Tonic water
  • 1 serrano chile, for garnish
  • 3 allspice berries, to flavor

  • For the syrup, in a small pot, pour the Domino® Mascabado Sugar along with the water, add the serrano chili, orange peel, and lemon peel, and cook until a thick liquid forms. Once it has this thick consistency, remove the citrus peels and let it cool.
  • Place ice in a wine glass, pour 4 tablespoons of the serrano chili syrup and the gin; squeeze the other portion of orange peel and place it inside the glass, mix with a spoon until combined, and fill the glass with tonic water. Finally, add the serrano chili and allspice to flavor. Ready!
