Nothing like a glass of Tinto de Verano to forget about the summer heat and start enjoying your free afternoon. It’s a simple recipe with ingredients that are readily available. It’s a very popular drink in Spain, usually prepared with young wine or tempranillo.

  • 1 liter red wine
  • 1 liter lime soda
  • 4 liquid ounces vermouth
  • 4 lemons
  • 4 limes
  • 1 orange
  • ice cubes, to taste

  • Cut the lemons and orange into thin slices.
  • Place the citrus fruits and ice in a pitcher. Add the wine, soda, and vermouth. Stir and serve.
