Baguette

The baguette is the traditional French bread. With this recipe you can enjoy it freshly made every day. To make the dough, you need a bread maker.

  • 450 grams all-purpose wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons yeast, dry soluble
  • 325 milliliters water

  • In the mold of the bread maker pour the water first, then the flour, and then the salt. Make a hole in the middle of the flour to the water and place the yeast there.
  • Place the mold on the machine, cover and ask for the French dough instruction. The process takes about 3 hours, the machine will only make the dough rise, it will not cook it.
  • Remove the dough from the machine and place on a clean surface with a little flour. Work the dough and divide it into 2 parts. Make a ball in each part and extend the balls to form rectangles with the shape of the baguette.
  • In harine two rags of kitchen and place inside the two baguettes separately, cover them with transparent film greased with oil and let them rest for 30-40 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 230 degrees Celsius. Place the baguettes on a baking sheet greased with a little oil. Make sure they are well separated from each other.
  • With a knife make cross cuts on the top. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crunchy.
