Easy to make baguette bread, perfect to accompany any dish, to make a delicious sandwich, or to eat it on its own. There's nothing better than homemade bread. Make it!
In a bowl, place the flour, salt, and dry yeast. Add the warm water and stir until the dough pulls away from the bowl; if necessary, add a little more flour.
Transfer the dough to a floured flat surface and knead for about 15 minutes.
During kneading, try to twist and stretch the dough to make it much more elastic.
Grease the sides of a bowl and place the dough inside.
Cover with plastic wrap or a clean cloth and let it rest in a warm place for 40 minutes.
Once that time has passed, transfer the dough to a floured table and remove excess air by pressing it with the tips of your fingers or your knuckles.
Cover the dough and let it rise for 10 minutes.
Next, divide the dough into 2 and roll it out with a rolling pin until you get a rectangle of approximately 25 cm x 20 cm.
Roll each piece of dough to form 2 baguettes and place them on a tray covered with oil and flour with the seam side down.
Beat the egg white and use a brush to apply it on top of each baguette.
Cover with a cloth or a bag and let it ferment in a warm place for 40 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Make diagonal cuts about 1/2 cm deep with a sharp knife.
Bake the baguettes for 30-35 minutes and when you remove them, brush again with egg white and return to the oven for another 15 minutes.
Finally, remove and let cool on a cloth.
