Biscuits with Raisins and Jam

Delicious scones for breakfast. They can be served with jam and butter.

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 stick butter
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 2/3 cups cow's milk
  • 50 grams raisins
  • 30 grams cranberries

  • Sift the flour and place it in the food processor or mixer, then add the butter and process for 15 seconds, pour the milk through the tube and process for a few seconds until a ball forms (raisins or blueberries can be added at this point if desired).
  • Remove it and knead on a floured table 10 to 12 times.
  • Roll it out with a rolling pin to about 1/2 inch thick and cut with a round cutter, pressing evenly so they rise straight.
  • Place on a baking sheet, placing them close together, and bake for 12 minutes.
  • Serve warm with butter and jam.
