Cottage Cheese Bread

Sweet and fluffy cottage cheese bread with nuts and raisins. It is a very Mexican bread that you will love.

  • 500 grams requesón
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 6 eggs , separate yolks and whites
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 cup flour

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  • Beat the sugar with the cottage cheese and butter.
  • Then, add the yolks one by one and continue beating until incorporated.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder and then add it to the batter we already made.
  • The egg whites are beaten to a stiff peak and folded into the batter. At this point, add the raisins and nuts.
  • Grease a mold with butter, cover it with a thin layer of breadcrumbs, and add the batter.
  • Bake for approximately 1 hour.
