Cream Biscuits with Parmesan

  • 350 grams flour
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 90 grams butter, at room temperature
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup Santa Clara® premium sour cream
  • 4 tablespoons Santa Clara® whole milk
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Santa Clara® whole milk
  • 1/2 cups Parmesan cheese, grated, for decoration

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Mix the flour with the salt, baking powder, add the butter and sugar.
  • Add the Premium Santa Clara® sour cream, Santa Clara® whole milk, and parmesan cheese. Knead for 10 minutes until combined. Let rest for 20 minutes in the refrigerator.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of 7 mm.
  • Cut with a 5 cm diameter cutter, place on a baking tray.
  • Beat the egg with Santa Clara® whole milk and brush the scones, sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake for 12 minutes until golden brown.
  • Lightly chill and serve with butter.
