Easy Oatmeal Bread

  • 9 grams yeast
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 2 cups oats
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cups olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon chives, finely chopped

  • mayonnaise, for serving (optional)
  • spinach, for serving
  • tomato, for serving

  • Mix the yeast with the water and let it rest for 5 minutes. Set aside.
  • Process the oatmeal flakes until you obtain oatmeal flour.
  • In a mixer, combine the oatmeal, flour, salt, gradually add the olive oil, oregano, and chives, knead until a homogeneous dough is obtained, and let it rest for 1 hour.
  • On a floured surface, roll out the dough, using a round cutter to cut circles approximately 3 mm thick.
  • Heat a griddle over low heat and place the bread on it; cook for 7 minutes on both sides.
  • Cut the bread in half, add mayonnaise, ham, spinach, and tomato.
