Garlic bread

Garlic bread consists of bread covered with a mixture of garlic with parsley, oregano and olive oil. It is used in Italian cuisine as an accompaniment to pasta or other dishes.

  • 4 cloves garlic, big
  • 1/4 cups fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons oregano, cool
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • black pepper
  • 1/2 cups olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 baguette, or cibatta bread

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
  • Put the cloves of garlic, parsley, oregano, salt and pepper in a food processor. Process until finely chopped.
  • Heat the olive oil in a pan over low heat. Add the garlic mixture and cook for 2-3 minutes until the garlic releases odor but is not red.
  • Cut the loaf of bread lengthwise and put the garlic and oil mixture on the bottom of the bread. Put the butter on the top cover of the baguette. Close the baguette and cover with aluminum foil. Cook in the oven for 15 minutes.
  • Serve in slices.
