Homemade Dinner Rolls

Prepared with just a handful of easy ingredients, homemade dinner rolls are so easy that even beginner bakers can master them! A must at every Thanksgiving and Christmas table, homemade dinner rolls have such a fluffy and soft texture that you’ll want to eat them right out of the oven!

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 tablespoons dry yeast, 0.2 oz
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons lard

  • In a bowl, mix water and dry yeast. Let rest for 10 minutes.
  • Add flour and salt. Mix. Add lard. Knead to a soft and homogenous dough. Let rise for 30 minutes or until it doubles its size.
  • Portion dough in 2.8-ounce balls. Ball each dough ball and cover with a wet cloth. Let rest on a baking sheet for 15 minutes.
  • Press on the dough balls lightly. Using a fork, poke the rolls. Bake for 20 minutes at 356 °F.
  • Serve homemade dinner rolls with your favorite dishes.
