Chileans like bread and it is very common for family gatherings to cook homemade bread. That is why, during the celebration of September 18, bread fresh from the oven with butter cannot be missed on Chilean tables. Make your own bread with this easy recipe!

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/2 envelopes dry yeast, 6g
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons lard

Preparation

In a bowl mix the water with the dry yeast and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Add the flour with the salt to the bowl and mix, then add the butter; knead until you have a smooth and homogeneous dough. Let stand to ferment for 30 minutes, or until doubled in volume.
Portion the dough into pieces of approximately 80 grams, roll, place a damp cloth and let it rest on a tray for 15 minutes.
Gently press the balls and with the help of a fork, chop the bread; bake for 20 minutes, at 180 ° C.
Enjoy with your favorite dishes.
