Prepare these delicious cinnamon rolls that are very soft and fluffy with a delicious filling of apple jam with a touch of cinnamon that makes the perfect combination. You will love them.
In a bowl, hydrate the yeast with the warm water and the teaspoon of sugar. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
Add the hydrated yeast, heavy cream, egg, sugar, butter, salt, vanilla, and flour to the bowl of a mixer. Beat for about 10 minutes or until you obtain a homogeneous and elastic dough.
Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover. Let it rest for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface to ½ cm thick, forming a square.
Add the La Costeña® apple cinnamon jam, the apples, and the walnuts. Carefully roll it up and cut into rolls 2 cm thick.
Place the rolls on a baking tray and let them rest until they double in size. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes and cool.
For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar with the milk until you have a smooth mixture. Decorate the rolls with glaze and enjoy.
