Guava roll with cheese

  • 11 grams dry yeast, for the dough
  • 3/4 cups Santa Clara® Lactose-Free Milk, for the dough
  • 2 3/4 cups flour, for the dough
  • 1/4 cups sugar, for the dough
  • 1 teaspoon salt, for the dough
  • 2 eggs, for the dough
  • 2 tablespoons butter, for the dough
  • 2 cups guava marmalade, for the filling
  • 2 cups cream cheese, for the filling
  • 1 egg

  • Mix the yeast and warm Leche Deslactosada Santa Clara® in a bowl. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • Place the flour, sugar, salt, egg, and the yeast mixture with Leche Deslactosada Santa Clara® in a mixing bowl. Mix until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
  • Add the butter and continue kneading until fully incorporated. Then, place in a greased bowl and let it rest for 30 minutes or until the dough doubles in size.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of 2 cm, spread cream cheese and guava jam, and roll it up. Cut and place the rolls in loaf pans.
  • Bake the guava rolls at 180 °C for 20 minutes.
