Add the flour, sugar, yeast, eggs, milk, and salt to the mixer, then beat with the dough hook attachment. Once the ingredients are mixed, add the butter and beat until the dough has a homogeneous and elastic consistency, then add the orange zest and beat for 2 more minutes.
Grease a bowl with cooking spray and place the dough in it, then cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 2 hours or until the dough for the shells doubles in size. Set aside.
For the crust of the shells: Add the flour, powdered sugar, and butter in a mixing bowl and beat with a paddle until you have a dough. Divide into 2 and set aside.
Add pink food coloring to one part of the crust and red food coloring to the other part. Mix with a spoon to integrate the color. Set aside.
Place a little flour on a table and punch the dough to remove excess air, then form balls of 80 grams each and place them on a floured and greased baking sheet. Let rise for 20 minutes and set aside.
Place a bag inside a tortilla press, then a ball of the crust dough and press to form a tortilla the size of the rolled dough, making one of each color and set aside.
Cover the shells with the crust and mark with a shell cutter. Cut a V on the top of the shell to simulate a heart using scissors and finish shaping it with your hands. Bake the heart-shaped shells for 18 minutes at 180 °C.
Serve the heart-shaped shells and enjoy with milk.
