Homemade Cream Gorditas

Mmm... no one can resist the aroma of cream gorditas; this is the time to make them and not miss out on eating them, because besides being a very traditional recipe, they are very easy to make. They turn out very soft and thick.

4 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup sugar
1 pinch salt
2 eggs
2 cups clotted cream

In a bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder, sugar, and salt.
Add the egg one by one, knead until incorporated.
Add the cream and continue kneading until you have a smooth and firm dough, let it rest for 15 minutes in the refrigerator.
On a floured surface, roll out the dough and use a round cutter to cut the gorditas.
Heat a griddle over low heat and place the gorditas on it, cook for 3 minutes on each side, until they puff up.
