Homemade Mantecadas

Mantecadas are a typical Mexican bread commonly found in bakeries in our country; now you can prepare them in the comfort of your home with this practical and easy recipe.

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cups cow's milk
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon REXAL® baking powder

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Beat the egg with the sugar until it changes color, gradually add the milk and oil, and beat until incorporated.
  • With the help of a strainer, add the flour, salt, Rexal® baking powder, and beat for 5 minutes until integrated.
  • Using an ice cream scoop, fill a cupcake mold with the previous mixture until the cup is filled to ¾ full.
  • Bake for 20 minutes.
  • Serve accompanied by a glass of milk.
