Tricolor Chocolate Pound Cake

A homemade pound cake is perfect for treating the whole family. This sweet bread recipe is very simple, and the result is also very pretty, as it comes out as a pound cake with three different colors and flavors. To achieve the tricolor definition, make sure the mixtures have different consistencies so that they divide well during baking.

  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch, for the pound cake
  • 4 cups wheat flour, for the pound cake
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder, for the pound cake
  • 2 cups sugar, for the pound cake
  • 4 eggs, for the pound cake
  • 2 cups sour cream, for the pound cake
  • 1 cup vegetable oil, for the pound cake
  • 4 tablespoons vanilla essence, for the pound cake
  • 1 pinch salt, for the pound cake
  • 1/4 cups cocoa, for the light chocolate mixture
  • 1 cup dark chocolate, for the dark chocolate mixture
  • 1/4 cups cocoa, for the dark chocolate mixture

  • In a bowl, mix the ingredients for the pound cake until you achieve a homogeneous mixture. Then separate the mixture into 3 different bowls and set aside.
  • Leave the first bowl natural for vanilla; in the second, sprinkle the cocoa; in the last, the dark chocolate and cocoa. Mix all three until the ingredients are integrated and set aside.
  • In a greased and floured pound cake mold, pour the 3 mixtures in the corresponding order. Bake for 50 minutes or until cooked through. Unmold and cool.
  • Cut and enjoy.
