Milk Bread

It is a simple bread to make and very delicious. It can be served with any dish (soups, meats, creams, etc.) or filled with sweet ingredients (jam, cajeta, etc.) or savory ingredients (ham, chorizo, etc.)

  • 300 grams flour
  • 30 grams sugar
  • 30 grams milk powder
  • 50 grams butter
  • 100 milliliters water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • Preheat the oven to 180° C. On the table, make a mound with flour, powdered milk, yeast, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, cream the butter with the sugar, and add the lightly beaten eggs.
  • Add the butter mixture to the bowl of dry ingredients.
  • Gradually incorporate the warm water and work it until it becomes a smooth dough that pulls away from the table and hands.
  • Knead for 10 minutes and let it rise for 30 minutes in a warm place, preferably near the oven for better and faster fermentation.
  • Shape the bread (small balls to your preference), place them on a previously floured baking tray, and brush with egg. Let it rise for 15 more minutes.
  • Brush again (this helps achieve a better color in the end), and bake at 180° to 200° for approximately 20 minutes or until the surface of the bread looks golden.
