Poblano Pepper Pie

A very easy pie to make, delicious and perfect to keep in the refrigerator and take as a snack to the office. This delicious and healthy dish will not let rush be a factor for not eating healthy.

  • 300 grams flour
  • 100 grams butter
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cups cow's milk
  • 1 onion, slice
  • 1/4 liters sour cream
  • salt, and pepper to taste
  • 200 grams Manchego cheese, grated
  • 1/2 kilos Poblano chile, peeled and in strips
  • 1 egg

  • Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add the butter and milk, and beat until a smooth dough forms. Divide it into two parts.
  • Roll out one of the dough portions and place it in a previously greased mold. Cover the bottom of the mold with the dough. Use a fork or knife to make several holes so that the dough doesn't puff up while baking.
  • Sauté the onion and poblano strips, cook until the onion looks transparent. Then add the cream, mix, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Place the filling in the pie mold, sprinkle grated cheese over the mixture. Cover with the other portion of dough that we reserved and brush with egg using a brush. Make some holes on top to allow the pie to breathe.
  • Bake for 30 minutes at 250°C.
